Celebrities are always the go-to source for all that is chic and stylish. While pregnant, they never fail to disappoint. Heidi Klum, who is expecting her 4th child {and finally, a GIRL!} this October is one of my favorites to watch while expecting.  What is her favorite maternity piece of clothing? Balenciaga’s black jeans! While not exactly “maternity wear” she wears them under her belly. Not exactly a look everyone can pull off.

I’m a huge fan of anything that makes my life easier from pre-chopped veggies in the produce section to 1-click shopping. When it comes to maternity clothes I also want it easy. Shopping a brand you already know (and love) is truly effortless.

And that’s part of the reason that I love the maternity line from Michael Stars. I know I adore their everyday tees so it’s practically child’s play when it comes to the belly-friendly versions. What makes them great? The shapes are flattering (see the gorgeous surplice neckline on this pretty green tee), the knit is stretchy without being too clingy and the the sheen makes them Michael Stars special. The only hard part about them is choosing which one!

I’m loving the drape of this gorgeous Twist Top from Due’s own line in the Outlet. Not only is it incredibly flattering hiding any little bumps or bulges that you’re not loving but it’s the perfect shape for you to wear from day one of your pregnancy until your little one celebrates her first birthday. Try it out in basic black or bold magenta – at this price, frankly you could get both!

One of the fashion lines that we love around here at Due is Japanese Weekend. They really get that women want maternity clothing that feels fashionable – and comfortable – for the next nine months. I’m a big fan of Japanese Weekend and the incredibly adaptable maternity clothes they create. Designer Barbie White seems to completely understand that a woman loves to have options when it comes to her wardrobe — perhaps as a result of her background as a dancer and needing to make quick changes? Offering up tops that can also be worn as skirts is something that JW truly excels at. 

This black and white cutie is one of those versatile pieces that I believe is a must-have for summer. Paired with low sandals and Due Essential black leggings, it’s comfy, cool and stylish or worn as a skirt and topped with a pretty tee, it’s breezy, easy and goes just about anywhere.

I find that the colors for fashion this spring have been very muted — and as much as I love pastels, I’m feeling the need for some deeply saturated hues like bright pink, deep purple, grass green and citrus orange. Such cheery colors make it hard to feel dreary even when morning sickness strikes and all you want is a nap. As we inch closer and closer to summer, I think the end of May is the perfect time to start your hot weather maternity clothing shopping list!

The perky print is something special and it can easily be paired with denim for evening, shorts for the weekend or pencil skirt for work.
